425 approaches Werneth Fire Station, where it will turn right down Oxford Street. Behind is the erstwhile Werneth Mill, closed in 1960 and much of it demolished in 1967. However, the majority of the buildings visible still survive as part of the Oldham Motor Company's car dealership.
