2743 AC had been new as Stratford Blue 42 and was allocated Midland Red number 2042 when the fleet was absorbed at the beginning of 1971. It was sold later that year to PMT still carrying Stratford Blue livery and number. With PMT it was repainted and became 403. It is seen very soon after arrival at Tonmawr - to the right is one of the short-lived LS5Gs which were replaced by these Tiger Cubs.
