3946 UE had been new as Stratford Blue 46 and was allocated Midland Red number 2046 when the fleet was absorbed at the beginning of 1971. It was sold later that year to PMT still carrying Stratford Blue livery and number. With PMT it was repainted and became 407. It is seen carrying its second Creamline livery.
The location is a road that links Brynglas Terrace and Blaencaerau Road. The building on the right is the former Caerau Nursery School, demolished following the opening of the new Caerau Primary School in 2009 and since demolished.
