Subject: Creamline AEL 179B
Chassis: Leyland Atlantean PDR1/1
Body: Weymann H43/31F
Location: Pontrhydyfen, B4287
Date: 30-Aug-1980

AEL 179B has just climbed out of Pontrhydyfen and is about where the road crossed the route of the South Wales Mineral Railway.

The section of that railway from Tonmawr to the top of the Ynysmaerdy incline at Briton Ferry closed in May 1950. The crossing here was on the level and there were two houses on the left called “Level Crossing Houses”, since demolished.
