Whit Friday is not a day for driving in Saddleworth and the buses have to do the best they can. First was quite pro-active in 2007 and in the morning, when the church processions congregate in Uppermill making the village impassable to normal traffic, buses were turned short. Here an inspector stationed at the top of the hill at Greenfield station instructs the driver on what to do, which as revealed on later photos involves turning short into Chapel Road.
