Subject: Merthyr Tydfil B. C. 210 (WWO 638T) Chassis: Leyland National 11351A/1R Body: Leyland National B49F Location: Cilfynydd Common Date: 5-Jul-1983
210 is leaving Cilfynydd and accelerating onto the long racing stretch up to Traveller's Rest. This bus was new in an orange and white livery and had received this rather pleasing colour scheme two months earlier. This new livery was associated with the practice of painting the number blind glass black which had the effect of tidying the appearance.
This batch of Leyland Nationals delivered in 1978 was a replacement for a batch of Willowbrook-bodied Leopards, cancelled due to problems with the bodywork on the 1976 batch.
