This vehicle seems to have been a prototype for the ‘Sunsaloon’ full-front body but this was one vehicle where the back end was definitely a lot more attractive. The front featured a single full-width opening screen and the body tapered significantly.
It was bought for the London service but wasn’t popular on that and was soon demoted to bus work, reseated as a 35-seater.
It was transferred to Highland Omnibuses in 1962 as their B36 but was no more popular there. Highland sold it to Smith, Grantown in 1963 but it seems to have been equally unloved and had become a store by August 1964.
