Stalybridge station was closed for nine days from 27th October 2012 to 4th November 2012, with the first trains on the following day. This was to permit a complete re-modelling of the station. From the Monday to Friday of this week there was an intensive service of replacement coaches serving Greenfield. I wasn't in a position to photograph them but they seem to have been the usual selection of vehicles, just more of the same.

Seen on this service at Friezland Church in the failing light of Saturday 3rd November was this Van Hool-bodied DAF C7TYR working for J & B Travel of Horsforth.
