This was a single Sunday when rail replacement buses were in operation. Mercedes buses had a spell of being quite common in the area but they are now rarely seen, so the appearance of this Tourismo coach, VC58 ABC owned by ABC, added some welcome variety. It seems the rail replacement services are not very popular - this one didn't even need to stop at Greenfield, although it's difficult to be sure whether it was a replacement solely for Transpennine passengers.
