7788 heads back to Manchester in snowy conditions on 20th January 1979. The Hyde Road driver is taking no chances with road conditions and is signalling right to turn off route up Chapel Road ("Frenches") which gives an easier climb, but at the expense of an almost-impossible turn back towards Oldham. I don't know how he did it, but the photograph later in the collection shows that he did!
