On 19th August 1977 PD3 5107 leaves a smoke trail behind as it slogs up Oldham Road in Grasscroft, probably on a journey at the end of the evening peak as it is only going to Oldham. It was one of only two surviving members of this batch at the time and both were withdrawn that month.
