As the sign indicates, RS4567 is about to leave Ynysybwl on its return trip to Pontypridd. There were once two collieries in this vicinity (Great Western and Darran-ddu) but much smaller than the major colliery in the valley (Lady Windsor) and also much shorter-lived, not seeing out the 1920s.
