Subject: National Welsh RS1301 (LAX 101E)
Chassis: Bristol RESL6L
Body: ECW B46F
Location: Ynysybwl, Augustus Street
Date: 26-Nov-1983

RS1301 on its welcome return to Aberdare depot and the Old Ynysybwl service. Returning to Pontypridd it is here pulling out of the bottom of Augustus Street into Windsor Place.

The imposing building behind was The Lady Winsdor Hall and Institute, opened on 4 August 1904. It included a 700-seat theatre, and several other rooms. A cinema was operated here from the 1920s and had a capacity of 460 seats. The imposing building was demolished in the 1990s and the site is now occupied by flats.

Straight ahead was the original route to Old Ynysybwl, via Windsor Hotel.
