This bus has missed the right turn at the Farrar's Arms in Grasscroft and tried this unconventional turning manoeuvre at the top of High Grove Road. Although the 353 now turns down that road, only minibuses are used on that service and the junction is not well-suited to such large vehicles. I once saw a Manchester PD2 do the same thing and in both cases I still wonder how they regained Oldham Road at the Farrar's Arms, as the angle of the junction is so acute.
In due course this bus which had come, inadvertently, very close to my house would end up as Rhondda 698.
