One of just two of Pontypridd’s wartime Guys to have 6LW engines from new, 27 was one of the first Guys to be withdrawn in 1961, having had limited body rebuilding by Pontypridd only two years earlier.

It was sold to Edmunds at Rassau who used it for spares, although it appears to be in much better condition than the other vehicles around it. This garage building would eventually acquire a roof using the dismantled trusses lying to the right of 27.
