Subject: Leicester C. T. 1?
Maker: Electric Railway and Tramway Carriage Works, Preston
Truck: Brill 21E
Seating: 34/22
Location: Preston, Dick, Kerr works
Date: c.1903

Detail of the front dash and bulkhead of what is presumed to be Leicester's tram 1 prior to numbering.

Features worthy of note are the coat-of-arms etched in the glass of the lower saloon door and the bell (visible just below the top step) operated by a rotating shaft with handles as seen in the interior views.

The Brill maker's plate can be seen on the truck frame in this view whereas in photo 121 it is not, implying that the two views are of opposite sides of the vehicle, surprising given that cameras of the day were not all that portable!
