Subject: Crosville Cymru CTL63 (C63 JTU) Chassis: Leyland Tiger TRCTL11/3RH Body: Duple 340 C51F Location: Cardiff bus station Date: 26–Apr-1993
Crosville CTL63 was new just as the company was split and Crosville Cymru formed. This was the renaming of a dormant but familiar company as it had originally been named the Devon General Omnibus and Touring Company, a company quite closely linked with Rhondda in earlier days due to their common NECC origins.
This bus was originally delivered in National Holidays livery and the batch could be readily varied between C51F and C49Ft configuration. Given that other vehicles used on the service did not have a toilet I have assumed the former on this occasion, even though the toilet provision would be very useful on such a long service.
