Subject: National Welsh N627 (VHB 684S)
Chassis: Leyland National 11351A/1R
Body: Leyland National B49F
Location: Cardiff, Scott Road
Date: c.1991

For a period buses entered the bus station in Cardiff along Westgate Street, Park Street and Wood Street. N627 is seen on such an approach and is crossing the more familiar approach route of Wood Street. The first few journeys of the day came from Porth but this bus will have come from Tonypandy.

N627 had originally been N1878 and was one of the first Nationals new to National Welsh. It was renumbered N1627 in Jan-1983 and N627 in Feb/Mar-1986. It is another vehicle that spent most, if not all, of its life at Porth depot.
