Much has changed since this photograph was taken. The bus station has been rebuilt, turning round 90 degrees in the process. As I write in 2016 it is due to be rebuilt again and the former Tameside Council headquartes building behind is in the throes of demolition. Crosville is now but a distant memory and full-sized buses ceased to work the 354 at all with the withdrawal of the evening service in 2015.
