54 is on a layover at Cilfynydd on the trunk route from there to Rhydyfelin. The turning circle has now gone from here, there not being enough space to turn the longer single-deckers that entered the fleet in the 1970s. Nearly all the windows on 54 were rebuilt around 1959, apart from the cab.
