Subject: West Yorkshire 108 (D523 HNW) Chassis: Ford Transit 190D Body: Carlyle B18F (on Dormobile shell) Location: Harrogate bus station Date: c.May-1987
West Yorkshire's minibus operation got off to a troubled start, with industrial action being taken in York before the buses had even arrived. As a result the initial minibus operation ended up being in Harrogate starting on Monday 28th July 1986, the first being routes K, L and M.
Deliveries of the minibus straddled the change of registration year and as a result the original registration for this bus, C86 AUA, was voided and it was given the mark seen in the photo.
This bus became Yorkshire Rider 123 and later passed to Rhondda Buses, in which fleet it was numbered 22.
