Subject: Multihire, Syston 2 (468 MTX)
Chassis: AEC Regent V MD3RV
Body: Metro-Cammell H37/28F
Location: Bristol, Canon's Marsh
Date: 20-Aug-1978

After giving good service to Walker of Hexthorpe 468 MTX passed to Thistle Coaches of Doncaster briefly before being sold to Multihire of Syston. It was used by a showman called Joe Weston and is here seen at the Bristol Rally promoting Joe's Old Time Festival.

Although the wording implies that there would be an attempt to jump the River Avon in the bus, I believe the more mundane truth is that it was just used as an office and accommodation and that people were shot from cannons across the river.

This bus has resided in Leicestershire since and I believe still exists today, but in a much-deteriorated condition.
