These vehicles arrived just before low-floor buses started to make an appearance, when the only way to enable wheelchair-bound passengers to board a bus was using a lift and of course it was essential that any service offering disabled transport had to be equipped with such a lift. Therefore this shuttle bus service was worked by five of these Mercedes with chair lifts. They carried a distinctive livery with a cream waistband and the Southall Shuttle branding.
MT2 is seen here leaving on the last stage of its journey to Greenford Red Lion. The five MT-types were replaced by the slightly larger MA-type by early 1994.
