Carrying the Marple Band (or at least it will when they get back on), D343 SWB was a late Bedford chassis, in fact the last new passenger design before the Dunstable plant shut in 1986. The YNT was also the only 12 metre long Bedford chassis and had air suspension to try to compete with the higher standards offered by other manufacturers.

It was operated by Roy McCarthy of Macclesfield and is on Kinders Lane in Greenfield. It had been new to Rainworth Travel.

From an original negative in the David Beilby collection, taken by Michael Schofield
