Subject: Salford C. T. 151
Maker: Electric Railway and Tramway Carriage Works, Preston
Bogies: Brill 22E (reversed)
Seating: 48
Location: Salford, Frederick Road depot
Date: c.Mar-1905

The more familiar three-quarter view has been masked, as seen here. The tram carries the name of the General Manager Ernest Hatton, however his final day in the post at Salford was also the day when 151 carried out its demonstration run to councillors and guests, so his name was not destined to remain on this car for long

These trams were not a success and were not wanted wherever they were operated. Salford tried to find buyers for them without success and they were eventually scrapped in 1913/14 with the electrical equipment recovered for use in some replacement double-deck cars which carried the same numbers, built by Brush.
