Subject: Bradford C. T. 592 (HNU 970) Chassis: AEC 661T Body: East Lancs H35/28R Location: Bradford, Keighley Road Date: 1963
592 passes the "Norman Arch", otherwise the Keighley Road Memorial Gatehouse at the north-east corner of Lister Park, the southern entrance to which was the "Park Gates" short working of the Crossflatts service. 592 is working to Bingley where about half of the trolleybuses that went beyond Saltaire would turn back.
The Turf, at the right, was a long-established pub which took its present form in 1894. Known for some years as The Park, it reverted to its earlier name in 2012 but closed in 2017 to become a restaurant.
