Subject: Western Welsh U1871 (BTX 332J)
Chassis: Leyland Leopard PSU4A/2R
Body: Willowbrook B45F
Location: Porth, Aber-Rhondda Road
Date: mid-1970s

U1871 has gained poppy red and white livery and now carries NBC-style Rhondda fleet names. Only U15-1971 carried these names - it is surprising that the whole batch didn't as they were very much employed on local services within the Rhondda.

This bus will have come from Nythbran, despite the destination display, and is heading for Wattstown. It is stopped opposite the depot entrance.

About to overtake it is an Ergomatic-cabbed AEC Mercury tipper.
