Subject: Bradford C. T. 815 (BDY 815) Chassis: Sunbeam W Body: Weymann H30/26R Location: Bradford, Tyrrel Street Date: c.1959
Hastings Tramways 40 was just one of two from this fleet fitted with Weymann bodies that came to Bradford alongside the more numerous Park Royal-bodied versions. Although numbered higher the pair were the first to enter service as they were in much better condition.
BDY 815 has clearly just been repainted and was one of five vehicles to receive this trial livery with blue lower-deck window surrounds. It will have come through the city centre along Broadway on the cross-city service from Eccleshill.
