033 was new on 1st November 1962 with sister XKW 832 arriving shortly before. Originally their numbers were reversed but this was confusing given that the numbers almost matched the registrations but didn't. The numbers were exchanged in 1963.

033 went on to serve a very important role at this location as it acted as support vehicle for the final trolleybus, which picked up its party of guests at the entrance to the Town Hall behind.
