Subject: Taff-Ely BC 82 (TTR 163H)
Chassis: Leyland Atlantean PDR1A/1
Body: East Lancs H45/31F
Location: Glyntaff depot
Date: 17-Sep-1983

The Southampton Atlanteans were considered superior to those from Newport. Even after repaint there was still evidence of their former livery in the red inserts in the mouldings.

It was normal practice on the Atlanteans to set the number blinds to the fleet number but there may be an attempt at confusion here, as 81 was the other East Lancs-bodied Atlantean.

This bus was new to Southampton as their 129 in 1970.
