Taff-Ely 82 (TTR 163H) Glyntaff depot John Kaye (John Boylett) G7015

Subject: Taff-Ely BC 82 (TTR 163H)
Chassis: Leyland Atlantean PDR1A/1
Body: East Lancs H45/31F
Location: Glyntaff depot
Date: 17-Sep-1983

82 in the depot yard surrounded by a variety of vehicles. One member of 82’s batch was very short-lived as TTR 157H (Southampton 123) was being prepared for delivery when a disastrous fire hit the East Lancs factory. The body was destroyed and the chassis, when refurbished, ended up in Australia.

To the left of 82 is 3, one of the last of the Metro-Cammell Regents to stay in service whilst 1 beyond has a trade plate in the window and may be about to leave for the last time. Beyond that is the preserved Bristol K6A 40 (FNY 933).
