Ty Rhiw was served originally by Caerphilly UDC but after local government reorganisation in 1974 it was served by Taff-Ely buses. This seems to have been a regular use for these Longwell Green-bodied Reliances towards the end of their lives. As the destination blind didn’t have these new destinations, a special board was fitted in the windscreen.
