89 has dropped down Factory Lane and is just turning right off Gelliwion Road into Lanwern Road. The large building in the background is Dewi Sant Hospital on the Graig, 89 having climbed High Street on the far side of which to get here from the town centre.
The building behind built in 1920 was serving as a Mormon Church and has since been replaced by a modern building in the same role.
At the extreme left was once a bridge carrying a railway incline to the tip for Maritime Colliery, which used to be in the immediate background.
