Subject: Bradford C. T. 742 (EKU 742) Chassis: BUT 9611T Body: Roe H33/25R Location: Bradford, Little Horton Lane Date: 24-Aug-1963
Most photographs show trolleybuses climbing here so it is good to see one going in the other direction. 742 is just dropping into Victoria Square.
The building behind is Glyde House, built as a chapel school and named after a popular minister, Jonathan Glyde, who established the Town Mission. It gave its name to the new link road across to Morley Street, Glyde Gate, the wiring for which was part of the final overhead changes to the Bradford system.
