When Sardis Road ceased to be available as a turning place buses on the 240 and 244 services normally used the parking area up High Street so there is some uncertainty what 381 is doing here in the cleared area between Chapel Street and Morgan Street.

Although there were quite a few works journeys to Cwm Colliery they all ran through from Porth so would not pass here. There was just one journey starting in Pontypridd but that was on a Saturday, but this is a Thursday view.
