On 11th October 1969 the Ribble Enthusiasts Club ran a tour with Oldham's last surviving PD1/3, 246 which covered several routes in the Saddleworth area. 246 is seen at Mossley Brookbottom with a display for the 16 to Oldham, whence in fact it had just arrived. Double-deckers were rarely used by Oldham on the Mossley service.
