8520 is at the top of West Street with the Civic Centre barely visible behind in this atmospheric shot. In the early eighties the evening and Sunday service to Uppermill ran only to and from Oldham and this bus has completed the circuit of the town centre and is waiting to move to High Street to work its next trip to Uppermill via Scouthead, returning via Lees.
