Subject: Bradford trolleybus wiring
Location: Bradford, Little Lane
Date: 8-Mar-1972

There was just a single set of wires in Little Lane, seen here just before closure. These provided access to Duckworth Lane depot from the city direction without going all the way to the terminus and would also have provided a test facility from Duckworth Lane depot if required.

The bus stop was relatively new as it was for what had been the Hebble service 18 from Duckworth Lane to Bingley, a service purchased from Messrs. Briggs in May 1928. Shortly before Hebble ceased to exist, this service was transferred to West Yorkshire, from 2nd May 1970. The change to the crews would have been barely perceptible as the Hebble buses had been based at West Yorkshire's Bradford garage since their own depot in Park Avenue closed on 31st October 1969.
