Subject: Rhondda Buses 703 (G399 PNN)
Chassis: Leyland Tiger TRBL10/2RZA
Body: East Lancs DP49F
Location: Pontypridd, Taff Street
Date: 5-Aug-1995

703 has recently completed its transformation from a prison van to a dual-purpose saloon and unlike the other re-bodied Tigers has received the later colour scheme with more cream. It was the first vehicle in this particualr style with the maroon swept up at the rear, later applied to Volvos 704/705 and the two Prismas.

It is stopped outside Woolworth's working the X8 to Maerdy. although the bus stop flag doesn't include that service. This stop wasn't shown in the list of stopping places for the X8 but clearly a lot of passengers, and the driver, thought differently.
