Subject: Bradford C. T. 764 (NNU 228) Chassis: BUT 9611T Body: Weymann H32/26R Location: Shipley, Bingley Road (Nab Wood) Date: early 1960s
764 is stopped in the Nab Wood loop on a tour, with most of the participants seemingly eager to get back out of the rain! It is next to a brand-new and unregistered Vauxhall Velox PB, presumably being sold by the garage here.
Coming up on the left hand side is West Yorkshire DX101, one of the 1960 deliveries of Bristol Lodekka FS6Bs, the standard double-decker until the move to the VR. This is an early example that was new with the three-part blind display and is working a route that competed with the trolleybuses for traffic.
