Not long before this section of track was taken out of use, 71 is on Maria-Theresien-Straße. Later that year the service would be diverted round the curve it has just avoided into Anichstraße to form a longer loop round the centre. Note the trolleybus overhead in position, the last trolleybuses had run about six months earlier.

71 was numerically the first of this batch of Lohner-built cars which were the first articulated trams in Innsbruck, new in 1966. This example was withdrawn in 2008 and was sold to Arad.
