Subject: Northern General 7087 (FNL 687W) Chassis: Leyland Leopard PSU3E/4R Body: Willowbrook C53F Location: Oldham, Yelloway coach station Date: 1980s
Not one of the original branded vehicles, but one added later as the 960 grew in popularity. The branding also reflected the route through Teesside and said "North East" rather than "Newcastle".
Northern 7087 was one of the Willowbrook-bodied Leopards popular with the NBC around that time and had been new as 5087. The bodies don't seem to have been as durable as the chassis and this vehicle was rebodied with an East Lancs bus body in 1993 and operated in the Manchester area for Bullock's of Cheadle, for some of the time re-registered BUI 1675.
