726 had been rebodied in 1959 and lasted until the abandonment of the Clayton and St. Enoch's Road trolleybus services at the end of July 1971. It has just turned round in Tyrrel Street as has 728 behind on the 8.

The photograph dates from no earlier than 1964 due to the presence of the B-suffix car behind and must also be before the renumbering of the Allerton route from 31 to 16 in 1966.
