The only National bought by an Urban District Council was Pontypridd 14. Although quite a few more were to join the fleet (and the type was also popular in Aberdare) these other purchases followed the 1974 local government reorganisation.

The tramcar-style fleet numbers looked anachronistic on the National and it is odd to see the UDC garter on the side, but this vehicle had it re-instated (in a different place) as it was chosen to be repainted in the older dark blue livery to commemorate 75 years of council transport in the town.
