426 has returned to the AEC factory after being bodied by Weymann and is seen at the Service Department entrance to the AEC site. Delivery to Porth will follow.

The part-glazed doors that are clearly visible in this view helped to emphasise the austere appearance of these vehicles.

The shadow of the photographer can be seen across the legal lettering - difficult to avoid with the very low sun.

In this view 426 has only one step hole under the grille but it appears this was rapidly changed as all of the other photographs of the batch have two. It was probably to allow better access to the destination handle which was quite high up.
