Subject: Western Welsh 428 (VTX 428) Chassis: AEC Regent V LD3RA Body: Weymann H37/33F Location: Barry, Colcot Road Date: 1971
Shortly after the absorption of Rhondda by Western Welsh 425-430 were transferred to Cardiff and Barry depots. 428 is here working from Barry on one of the town's local services. The 349 ran from Barry Dock to Merthyr Dyfan Road and is nearing the terminus, having just turned from Barry Road in the background into Colcot Road.
The 349 had previously been the 109 but was renumbered by Jun-1967, along with all the Barry area services that had been in the 100-series. This was part of the closer working with Red & White and left all numbers below 200 free for the latter operator.
