V802775

Subject: Rhondda 159 (CTG 436)
Chassis: AEC Regent O661
Body: Burlingham H30/26R
Location: Cardiff, off Scott Street
Date: c.1950

Parked in the spare ground off Scott Street in the area of Cardiff once known as Temperance Town, 159 has presumably worked as a duplicate on one of the routes into Cardiff.

The bus on the right in the background is almost certainly Western Welsh 599 (KG 2176), a 1933 AEC Renown with Short Bros front-entrance bodywork that was new to White's.

Beyond that is the Park Street Drill Hall, which served as headquarters of the 53rd (Welsh) Divisional Signals, Royal Corps of Signals.
