Subject: Rhondda 281 (MNY 542) Chassis: AEC Regent III 9613A Body: Weymann H30/26R Location: Cardiff bus station Date: Aug-1956
281 is working the full length of the route to Treorchy whilst 272 is duplicating as far as Tonypandy and is seen elsewhere in this gallery.
The advert of the side of the bus is one rarely seen on Rhondda buses which is a bit surprising considering that Corona was the brand name for the soft drinks produced by Thomas and Evans at their Welsh Hills factory in Porth. Sold to The Beecham Group in 1958 and again to Britvic Soft Drinks in 1987, that year also saw the factory close with production moved to Bolton.
