60 enters Pontypridd from Gilfach Goch and is about to pass under the railway. The road to the right is Graigwen Road, used by Taff-Ely (and before that Pontypridd Urban District Council) buses returning from Graigwen and Penygraigwen. As can be seen from the road signs, it was not possible to use the road in the other direction and buses had to take the tortuous route via Thomas Street and Pencerrig Street.
This bus had only been in the Rhondda fleet about nine months and in another nine days would become a Stagecoach bus.
