A lovely image of 471 at Porthcawl having worked from Treorchy. Geoff is unsure of the date and I have estimated it based on the fact that the paintwork is quite glossy and it still has the original style of fleet name. The later italic style was introduced in 1964 so any later repaint would have received that style. There is also some infrastructure visible on the station platform - the line closed completely in 1965 and it is likely such items would have been removed quite quickly.
